Water

“Water, like religion and ideology, has the power to move millions of people. Since the very birth of human civilization, people have moved to settle close to it. People move when there is too little of it. People move when there is too much of it. People journey down it. People write, sing and dance about it. People fight over it. And all people, everywhere and every day, need it.”
– Mikhail Gorbachev

We all need clean water to grow our food, feed our bodies, and refresh us.

Many of the world’s water sources are so polluted that the life within them is altered.

Underground water aquifers, lakes, rivers, and other sources are being depleted by supplying water to golf courses, to farms growing food for the world’s billions of farmed animals, and for lawns.

Please protect water by using only biodegradable, plant-based cleaning products. Also, to protect water, reduce your use of plastics and fossil fuels, grow some of your own food using organic gardening techniques, support local organic farmers, use non-toxic paints and finishes, and follow a plant-based diet.

“There is but one ocean though its coves have many names; a single sea of atmosphere with no coves at all; the miracle of soil, alive and giving life, lying thin on the only Earth, for which there is no spare.”
– David Brower, first executive director of the Sierra Club; founder of Friends of the Earth; founder of Earth Island Institute; father of the modern environmental movement
